Start In

‘To bring Europe back to growth and create new jobs, we need more entrepreneurs’ *

Entrepreneurial Education is one of the three areas identified by the plan for immediate intervention as entrepreneurship is a skill that can be learnt by developing an entrepreneurial mind set and skills.

The Kick-Off meeting for the Start In Project was held in Valladolid, Spain, on November 21, 2017. With a lead from Turkey and partners from Spain, Finland, Greece, Poland, Ireland and the UK, the aim of Start In is to design and develop a new model of entrepreneurship education in schools in Europe.  By developing capacities and abilities from early ages, the foundations will be laid for young social entrepreneurs to transform ideas into action in different social, cultural or economic contexts.

The Start In partners will work together to co-create and test

  • a curriculum and set of training modules on Inclusive and Innovative Entrepreneurship Education (IIEE),
  • a multilingual e-learning platform with e-learning courses,
  • a guide with recommendations to develop IIEE in Europe and
  • innovative mobile instructional learning apps.

The target users for Start In are school teachers and educators and the target beneficiaries are primary and secondary school students.

Hincks Centre for Entrepreneurship Excellence will take the lead in the development of the Training Modules on IIEE.

Start In is funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus + Programme and will run until August 2020.  The lead partner is the Provincial National Education Directorate, Manisa, Turkey, with partners from
